Able Hands aims for excellence in all that we do and we believe you will notice the difference. All interpreters must meet our high standards in honoring confidentiality and cultural awareness. All interpreters must also follow the procedures set forth by the Missouri Certification and License systems.
We will gladly work with you to accommodate your interpreting needs. If you ever have a question about our services, please don't hesitate to call.
Team interpreting
Some assignments may require more than one interpreter. Typically the factors mandating team interpreting include, but are not limited to:
Tactile Interpreting
We offer tactile interpreting for Deaf-Blind individuals.
Its The Law
Communication access is a civil right for all! Providing Sign Language interpreters ensures communication access to people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. As mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) www.ada.gov, it is required that all agencies and places of public accommodations provide professional Sign Languages interpreters upon request. The ADA is a comprehensive anti-discriminatory law that extends to society and most aspects of daily living. Title III Section 36.303 requires places of public accommodations to be accessible to, and usable by, people with disabilities.
